Barrow UK Travelling Fellowship

The Barrow UK Travelling Fellowship (formerly the Marjorie Newsome Fellowship) was established in 2003 to provide specialized training opportunities for the individual winning the Norman Dott Medal in the Intercollegiate Specialty Examination in Neurosurgery, administered by the Society of British Neurological Surgeons. The award covers expenses associated with a three-week visit to Barrow Neurological Institute, attendance at the world renowned Barrow Symposium and the opportunity to observe and share techniques and expertise with colleagues and mentors at the Barrow. A new Fellowship for junior neurosurgeons has also been set up.

In addition, Barrow Foundation provides a grant to the British Association of Neuroscience (BANN). This provides senior nurses with training through an expert exchange and allows nurses several weeks of observation at Barrow Neurological Institute, and publication and dissemination of a research thesis.
